Pomodoro Timer

This high-quality Pomodoro Timer is designed to foster focused work without relying on mobile phones, helping users protect their attention. The client approached us with a design reference, and we developed concepts that are now moving into production. I'm working largely independently on this project, contributing as Product Manager, Industrial Designer, and Engineer across mechanical, electronics, and software domains.
challenge.
The main challenges of this product are both commercial and technical. On the commercial side, the client came to us with quite a tight budget for a luxury product, as well as wanting to start with a small batch and at a relatively low selling price. Technically, the desired effect for the time remaining with a smooth e-ink like display and a high quality audio notification added an additional technical challenge to this product.

Due to project constraints, I proposed using an LED display to show the remaining time while preserving an analog aesthetic. Although this differs from the client’s initial concept, the approach offers several advantages: it supports low-volume production, simplifies assembly, and minimizes the number of moving and custom parts. As a result, it significantly reduces overall costs.
On the technical side, I developed a process to test different levels of diffused light through 3D Resin Printing. This allowed for numerous in-house iterations until we reached the desired effect.
